Tacx Flow Upgrades - Worth it?

I'm receiving a Tacx Flow ergotrainer in the next couple of days, my missus is execting No.2 child in 3 weeks and being unemployed I'll be a full time dad when she goes back to work, so getting in road time is going to be difficult other than Sundays.
I'm wanting to be able to use it and avoid the boredom and so have though about getting the PC VR upgrade and 1 or 2 of the videos, anyone had any experience of using these with this model and provide some feedback?
I don't want to spend my money if it isn't going to be worth it.
