Stopping wrist pains and knee joint aches

Hey,

I've been doing a lot of road cycling in the recent months and starting to push up the distances I travel. My last ride was a 100 miler.

I thought at that distance it would be my legs that would go, but instead I'm finding my wrists and knee joints are the pain points. Are there are tips to stop them getting so sore?

My wrists were quite bad. I do a reasonable amount of climbing so they're fairly strong. I tried to change hand position as much as possible, but it wouldn't make a huge difference.

Is it bad riding technique? I've read I should support more of my weight using my abdomen (I'm 185lbs btw).

Or is all the above typical once you reach longer distances. I'm hoping not as I'm aiming to cycling 100 miles a day for 2 weeks.
