    Awesome, glad it all worked out in the end fella - been looking at my lot over the past year, I would love a life change like that... (with the mrs though ;-)) inspiring stuff.

    Saw it in the list and glad I read the first post, first. Read the thread right through and chuffed for you that things worked out for you the way they did in the end.

    Sorry to read about your Dad but it seems good that you were still here when it happened, got over it, then made the move and now putting the icing on your own custom cake :)

    Aww cheers you lot, even those who didn't read the whole thread! I'd have thought the date on the first post might have given it away.

    So have done a wee bit of research and about to e-mail off my suggestions for bikes to the lodge, out there the riding is trails based, and not that hard on bikes, ie massive rocks and drop-offs etc so a light XC should do just fine. Only 55 days now and counting!!!

    Ahh I did some courses for students in Torviscas - I was in Las Galletas for 6 months last year, awesome little place, quiet and unassuming and really really friendly, but close enough to get to the bedlam of LC and LA for a night out!

    yeah i know it, good ice cream there by the harbour :D and we used to go to a beach bar there sometimes, quite a big place at the end of the beach away from the town, can't remember the name now...

    we go back now and again as the gf's parents still live there.

    Ice cream will have been Valentinos, awesome pizza too - I think the beach bar is Bar Islas, its right at the end anyway, bringing back memories now!!
