It's the 'rust removal' bit that I don't like... if it's just surface rust it's fine, but if it's gone any deeper....
Saying that, it's only a tenner....0 -

go for it sara."It is not impossible, its just improbable"

If the worst comes to the worst, for 10 quid you could almost certainly make a healthy profit by later ebaying it.Faster than a tent.......0

Indeed.
Have pinged off an email, will see if I get a reply!
I like the neon! It WILL be adorned with spokey-dokes!
If it's not gone, I'm in two minds whether to leave knobblies or put slicks on it. There are some nice trails around here which are rather a pain on my current 28mm slicks, a bit bumpy and gravelly and occasionally muddy...0 -
that is an atrocious piece of bike in my eyes - it is not a tenner though as you will need to change the tyres and a few more things.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

I am somewhat bemused by the phrase
"It has a stand
Ideal for the summer months"
Why does having a stand make it ideal for the summer months?
at the price £10, it is £9.99 too much0 -
But but but.... and I could even get (rather pricey and heavy I know) tyres to match.... http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=123850

The bench looks quite good too - love the grapevine ironwork - see if they'll throw it in for £12!Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)

Wonder no longer - it's shagged.
New chain, new tyres and inner tubes, cables will be rubbish, cable guides perished, new seat post.
100 notes for the above before you start to do the work.
Spend 100 quid and save yourself the pain.
Buy it if you want it - if you like ugly your life will be full of opportunities!Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

My sister used to have a mens townsend mtb like that in about 1990. I nicked it once and me and a mate went over the local motocross track, I binned it trying to double some whoops and it didnt die!

I recognise that the above sentence is composed of words I recognise, a smattering of verbs and such( if to "to bin" is a verb). However they seem to convey nothing at all to me that I could recognise as a sentence or meaning.
How do you double whoops and what's a whoops in the first place?Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

Don't rise to it Prawny, it's not worth trying to explain it to the old boy. I know exactly what you meant, I still try to double whoops now and I'm old enough to be DDD's dadpain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever.....................
