Jackhammer will be pleased.
Just before today's start, the commies announced that yeterday's 15" time gap is void, so the GC was unaffected and reverts to pre-stage 10.
3 man break took the points sprint.
I was wrong about the reason though. Had nothing to do with the crash that I know off.
On Versus they showed where the split was measured. They were really splitting hairs.
I think they don't want to create a situation where 100 guys or more that don't figure in the finish try to cram themselves up the final straight to avoid the tiniest of spits.0 -
32 riveting KM to go still with a tantalizing lead of 1'37" for our two brave leaders.
(If you make it sound interesting - will it become more so?)0 -
I reckon it is almost time for me to play another stage of Pro Cycling Manager.
I'm taking requests for preferred team and tactics to use.0 -
ok... the stage has put me into a bad mood... now i get critical
Van Summeren has a terrible riding style... its bad enough that he is 8ft tall and looks like he is riding a farm gate, but why cant he just keep his upper body still...  **************************************************

I've always just assumed it was because he is so skinny and he has the spine of a jelly fish. He just can't keep his upper body stable.0 -
Today's winner is not a foregone conclusion. Should be a 3 horse race though...0

I think that could be it...he has the face of a jelly fish, so I think your theory about the spine is right**************************************************

How does Armstrong spell it? Somebody is bound to bite at that."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

In style! Cav had to work for it today, he took on Hushovd and Farrar in man-on-man sprinting and did it.0
-
And a great Sprint it was too!! Think his gear selection was bang on! Bet Zabel had been on the phone earlier...0
-
Hushovd 5th - ouchMaking a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.
And then you put in the milk.0 -
Cav back in Green0

Yes, Hushovd looked like he was struggling in too big a gear.
Milram had a great idea but you don't really want to be running out of riders at the red kite...Le Blaireau (1)0 -
Let's play "What position did Boonen get in the sprint"!!!
My guess is 18th.0 -
Oh well, there goes the Hushovd theory.
What is left to say about the dullness of these proceedings?
A follows B follows C, everyday.
Not only is Cav miles quicker than the rest, who are the rest?
They seem to comprise of only Farrar and Hushovd, each day.
At this rate, Farrar could pinch one to make his Tour a dream.
Mine? Remains a nightmare of daily deja vu."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0
