nuun tablets, quick questions..

hi all, I'm thinking about getting some, I've only just heard about them via here...

can you get them over the counter anywhere ? I'll try evans at lunchtime but otherwise i'll get em from wiggle (only they probably won't come in time for the weekend...)

which flavour do you like ???

I've used mixed citrus flavour a couple of times. It reminds me of that water with a "hint" of lemon in it. Or grapefruit. Or something like that, it's a bit difficult to say

I have used them. No problems and they are handy to carry along on long rides.
Do they "work", so to speak? I guess. The advertisements say they do. Taste wise, the
lemon - lime(I think) that I bought wasn't either good or bad.

I ordered a couple of boxes (8 tubes per box) from Jenson USA

Even with delivery costs I think it worked out as cheap as Wiggle for one box, but certainly for two there was a bit of a saving, and they still took less than a week to arrive.

The Kona Cola flavour is nice but be aware that one does contain some caffeine.

+1 for the Kona Cola flavour. The caffeine provides a good boost as well.

I use them sometimes, particularly on long rides, and have tried all the flavours with no real preference. Certainly help me with cramp..

I'm thinking of starting on nuun's too but I have 750ml bottles - will one tablet be enough in that much water, or would two be too strong?

I think that's what they recommend on the label. In any case I didn't find them to be
"strong" as far as taste goes. A little fizzy at first while they dissolve(about two minutes)
but nothing overpowering about them.

I use either the Citrus Fruit or Orange and Ginger. Both are OK. I haven't tried any of the other flavours yet though.
I tend to use a mixture of two thirds water and one third Tropicana orange juice and both those flavours work well with it.

The best place to get them I have found is Probike Kit. Make sure you select free postage and they will only take a couple of days usually. Very good service.

the reccomendation is 1 tablet per 500ml.

I am really liking the banananuun flavour - it tastes nicer than it sounds. . the kona cola tastes like flat coke, which is really nice, and the citrus and tri-berry are both very palatable.

yes, they do work, I use them quite often on short training rides when i don't want the carbs of torq

quite a few shops are getting them in now - try running shops as well.

+1 for this. The only flavour I don't like is the orage & ginger.

I have started using 1.5 tablets for a 750ml bottle, as I found 1 tablet too weak, and 2 was too strong.

Bear in mind that they are not a carb energy drink, and that you will need to get your carbs from another source during your rides.
