I have used them both loads and CRC do seem to be slightly quicker these days but they have made several mistakes wih me and their returns procedure isn`t great. They also take a while to respond to e-mails.In their favour they have rung me up 3 times to sort things out after I faxed them. I prefer the Wiggle website and they have never made an error plus their returns procedure is good and quick and they replace broken stuff without a fuss and I like the fact I can cancel things easily online if I change my mind. Their prices aren`t great anymore though.

Both CRC and Wiggle are very good, but they can't (wont) get anywhere near Merlin or Wolly Hat Shop on prices. I always check Merlin and WHS first, then if they dont have it, will check CRC and wiggle.

Evans are pretty good too imho, I would say on par with CRC, like Wiggle but without loyalty or Haribo.

Crc for me always next day when you use the 1st class free option plus from what i can see their cheaper than wiggle and the crc web site is easier to use IMO.

I cant decide between Wiggle or CRC. Ive spent more @ Wiggle than CRC but never had any problems with any of them as far as I can remember, they both stock the things I like so just tend to go with whoever is cheapest. The Wiggle dicount is a good incentive and I wish CRC would do something similar. Ive emailed Wiggle for advice before and they were very helpful. Wiggle tend to deliver quicker for me however CRC arent exactly slow. The Haribos are great however I want a bottle opener, never had one yet

Wiggle deliver quickly if you are prepared to pay £4 for the privilige.

Ive never paid for postage @ Wiggle, I dont believe in paying postage.

I will PM you my address... Send 'em my way :D:wink:

Are they Tangfastics? They are scrummy!

Might be worth trying wiggle out sometime then...Seeing as they have sorted out the credit card fraud problems, and supply Haribo.

    Oh, and Merlin are great!

dunno what they were but they went back

I got an email off them today saying ive been refunded, and I only sent the parcel yesterday - well impressed! :D

I ordered a chain from CRC late last night {5p dearer than Merlin} and I had an e-mail sent at 8.15 am to say it was shipped. They must start early.

Both CRC and Wiggle have messed up orders for me and both sorted them out quickly enough, you just have wonder what checks are in place to stop them sending the wrong items out, it just causes hassle for me having to get to the bloody post office..

  • I think there's always going to be good and bad stories of everyone. I don't know of any company who can give perfection out all of the time, there will be somebody who doesn't quite get the service they wished for. Personally I've not used either, as Merlin have always had the things I wanted in previous years, back to when I ordered some wheels from them back in 2000 for my old raleigh bike & got a top notch product.

I personally use leisure lakes now whenever I can as I got my bike there & joined the VIP club for £14 (half price offer) for the first year, getting 28quids worth of muc-off kit which I needed free, and will get discounts on everything now. Plus unlike merlin/wiggle/crc, their shop is only a short bike ride & 20 minutes on the train then a 1 mile ride (walk if I'm picking stuff up) so I really can't complain :D

Anybody used Dave Hinde recently? They used to get a monumental pasting as a matter of course - there used to be a guy worked there called James who would tell you exactly what he thought of you if you rang to complain!!

I once had that treatment off them when they sent me a Shimano chain instead of the Sram I ordered - so I called in at the shop one day on my way past as I was in the area. Went down like a popped balloon when I started shouting the odds and threatening to report them to Trading Standards and the Chamber of Commerce!!! Quality entertainment...
