Or you could buy one of these...

...and make your own crisps out of your vegetable of choice
Can vouch for the tastiness of sweet potatoes and parsnips when done like this, and there's nothing added to them so it's v healthy. They used to do them in Lakeland but now it seems you'd have to go to the lengths of ordering one from Japan. Quite nifty though."I think the phrase rhymes with Clucking Bell"

Okay then, put it this way:
You've got a film to watch and you're gonna curl up with a drink (pint / glass of wine) what snack would you have with said film / drink combo?
This is where it all falls apart for me as it's grab bag / pringles tube time.
The Tescos S&V rice cakes will be tried - I may even pop over to Sainsburys at lunch and see what they have as an equivalent
Well, the first reaction is no snack, you've already got a drink which is a substantial chunk o'calories.
But that's not really what you asked, so how about the following....
1. Wholemeal pitta bread, lightly toasted, with a low-fat dip - perhaps something home-made like guacamole or hoummous.
2. Air-popped popcorn - basically calorie-free, mix it in a container with a tiny amount of corn oil before popping to get salt to stick to it. This will slowly destroy your air-popper.
3. Those rice-cakes again.... mmmmm crispy. You can get marmite-flavoured ones too, made by Kallo.
4. Ryvita with vegemite and onion and chive cottage cheese. This is my current favourite snack...0 -
This thread has resulted in a healthy shift in my lunch plans: have just Tesco'd the following:
-low fat humongous
-bagel
-carrot batons
-rice cakes, S&V style
Salivary overload in full effect...
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -
I lost loads of weight really quickly once by eating this
Breakfast
Toast sandwich with butter, marmite and fried egg.
Lunch
Jacket Potato with cottage cheese..no butter
Dinner
Tinned sardines and salad of cabbage, carrot and lettuce..no dressing.
Supper
An apple
I'd do it again but cant stand most of those foods anymore.0 -

Eat a proper breakfast, leave the snacks at home, don't take any money to work (maybe a credit card just in case but the shame of buying crisps on plastic should be enough of a deterent).
Or try smoking.0 -
I really want to start eating a proper breakfast as it keeps me going all day, but I'm just not hungry in the morning at all, I cant stand breakfast cereals and refuse to have bread and butter in my house etc etc.
The only thing I can manage is a banana when I get to work, then I have a decent lunch at noon.
hmmmmm not ideal.0 -
