thigh burn

I've noticed the past few days on my way to work that my left thigh is tending to get that burning feeling rather quickly when I start on any uphill stretch. Is this just down to my left leg being weaker than my right? Or is it a ride position thing? I don't seem to remember it happening when I first started my riding a few weeks ago. I'm sure its only started in the last week or so.
Anyone any idea what i need to do?
Just looked at my cleats and my left is in a slightly different position would that make such a big difference?

Well it could be that due to the new cleat position you are placing more effort on your leg, just a thought though. I know the same happens to my right leg due to putting more power down through it.0

my cleats are slightly different but I would have thought thats the norm. Who has left and right legs/feet exactly the same?0
