Deadeyeduck and UndercoverElephant - WhiskEy is NOT nice, it's horrible American stuff made from corn (maize). Whisky on the other hand is the excellent stuff that comes out of Scotland, preferably in the single malt variety. Big difference.

I doff my cap to your superior pedantry. You are, of course quite correct, except for the schoolboy error as pointed out by emdeef.

Whiskey is also Irish. I love the Scotch, but I have recently finished a bottle of Bushmills 12 year old and I have to admit it was very nice.

I quite like Irish Whiskey too, somehow doesn't have the range of flavour of the Scottish stuff though. Mind you, I have yet to try the kind of Irish whiskey that I have tried of the Scottish variety. Interestingly the Scottish Malt Whisky Society holds quite a few Japanese whiskies, which they regard very highly.

 Bear with me chaps, but I think I've got this one licked! :D

It all becomes clear as you read through the thread. What the young whipper-snapper should be designing is a cycle-mounted whisky carrier. It's clear from the thread that there is already a market demand for such a cunning device.

Now, it needs to be mounted in such a way that it's within easy reach while riding, keep the contents safe and at optimal temperature. I would add that it should possibly be disguised with healthy, vitality type logos, so that the lady of the house doesn't suspect.

By Jove, I've cracked it! I've just invented the water-bottle!
...now, which way is the Patent Office?

I actually bought a wine bottle cage for my bike. Now if only I could find suppliers of very long straws, my commute would be lovely.

What you need to ask yourself is anyone going to buy a bike trailer that only works as a shopping trolley - how about a basic chassis that you could fit different trailer types to ? For example shopping/kiddy carrier/waterproof camping bag etc

I've got one as well! Wolf Blas for a while did a wine in recycled plastic bottles, which was great. I never like the rattling when you put a glass one in...
