I've just ordered an X3, dumb question, but apart from pedals do I need to buy anything else? Does it come with a pump to adjust the shocks??

    Regards,

    Greg

Yep mine came with a shock pump, other than pedals it was ready to ride.

    Good choice mate! :D

Cost me about £300 to build. Can I still join? I won't draw attention to myself or anything...

    Oooh, that's a bit big!!!!

Nice one mate, you are a man of good taste 8)

My daughter found the page of assorted stickers in this months copy of MBUK and proceeded to 'sticker up' my X1 in a rather excessive and random way  . Haven't got the heart to tear them all off yet.....

    It's here :)

Noticeably heavier than the demo X1 I swopped it for, won't get to ride it until tomorrow at the earliest.

I've set the rear shock sag, moved the brake levers in a bit, now to look at the rebound.

Any tips for setting rebound? This is my first full susser!

    Cheers,

    Greg

Yeah just bounce it and fiddle until you find you're sweet spot.

Lose the wheels first they're most of what weighs the x3 down, made hell of a diference when i threw on my hope/x717 rims.

Also the kenda small block eight, don't lean into corners with em they're scary, i've just thrown on some nobby nic's and the anthem loved em, great all round tyre and doesn't slow the anthem down.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

reckon I'll wait until something breaks/bends before replacing it!!

BTW for llamafarmer who was helitaping - I got a sheet of small clear stickers with the bike that I've used to put under areas where the cables rub.

I think I've got the 'old' bar on my new X3, the bikeradar review says they should come with a riser bar now ,whereas mine appears straight??

Yup same bar except mine's a riser, risers make the anthem a better ride hence why they're on newer models.

They should be able to swap it out for an equivalent riser to suit.
