Spent the afternoon de-stickering and heli-taping then took it for a little ride locally to get things set up, and can't wait to take it out for a proper blast tomorrow. It's rapid!! :D:D

Sweet! You must be chuffed too mate, look forward to seeing your pics!

I got the heli tape here just cut it down to size and have a look over your frame to see where the cables rub. The worst area is usually around the headtube from the rear brake and gear cables as you turn the bars. It's a bit anal, but worthwhile I reckon.

sweet, just demo'd the X1 yesterday and loved it!! Do you happen to know if Giant have stock of the X2? I'd heard they are all sold out of the X1?

Pretty low I think. Mine is a 16" and there was no other 16" X2s left at Giant.

Zero G in Bristol had a medium X1 in store....

got my x3 yesterday too. as you say very fast. i was suprised at how many pedal strikes i had, even after reading of the problem in reviews. its only a small niggle though and i reckon i need less sag in my shock and forks anyway, which should improve things a bit.

Nice one Llama. Anthem stock is very low, as I found out yesterday when I went and asked at my LBS :(

    Well spotted!!

There are mostly x2's and x3's left as they are naturally selling very fast plus the 2010 model will be no different as giant revise every two years.

Im just throwing on bits from my old tomac, x3 felt heavy to begin with now it's light as anything. :D

Very nice bike, I sat on one like yours at Zero G last week, it was large model they had on display, I was impressed how light it was,and they also had the orange/silver Giant Anthem X1 in medium too.

To be a part of team giant your sig needs to be spelled correctly first. ;)

I wouldn't say it was anal, cables can wear right through headtubes if given enough time !!

Just got back from the first proper ride (and a bit of a social afterwards). Oh man it's quick! Put the power down and it just launches forwards and doesn't want to stop. It rails corners and cruises over rocky stuff. It feels racey and urges you on, but still fills you with confidence all the time.

I absolutely love it already!! :D

You'd only just fit mee and dazza in my kitchen! sadly not enough room lol other wise i'd have polished up the kettle and toaster for them!

    Ah. You swine. :)

I had one of those X2's on order a couple of months ago. Cancelled it just before they shipped it at the guilt of the expense. Bought my Kona hardtail instead. Still wish I'd got the X2. Terrific bike.

Thanks llamafarmer. Have been looking for an Anthem X1 for days. Had given up to be honest, and was just browsing about when I say your post about Zero G in Bristol. Ordered it today. They still have one left after this by the way. Cheers
