Maybe what you're trying to get at is "How many cool points does each bike brand get?"

Kinda like a cool wall of bikes... 8)

DMR obviously gets shedloads of cool points, based on their first bike being a classic early ninetees steel hardtail!

but looses a shed load due to the downtube folding too often.

Ah, but does it, Nick? I mean, Lotus cars are referred to as "Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious", but they are undoubtedly cool.
Same with Alfa Romeo, they're cool. Slightly less so if they've never broken down!

I see my garbled first post has been deciphered.

Exactly what I meant, a Cool Wall of bicycle manufacturers. 8)

    Raleigh MaxLite FS1 (2001)

Really good welders are artists, it's a serious skill!

    Totally agree!

When I weld something and it looks the bees-knees, i'm chuffed for the whole day.

And some of the stuff the coded welders do is amazing.

I think the mistake some people make is assuming that just because a weld looks good and smooth etc then it's a strong weld. Whilst it's possible for a crappy looking weld to be crap, it's also possible for a really nice smooth weld to be fairly weak...

Yup, have heard many stories from welders who work on construction sites. If they weld a girder they have to walk it, to show the weld is strong enough. Apparently the American welders are the ones who usually refuse to do it lol.

The robot has the advantage of doing the same thing again and again to a variancy humans cannot get near. If it starts right, it ends right.

Thats what I was trying to say :D

Only good if the robots are in the right mood. Ours can be temperamental little buggers

I think top ones now have a repeatable accuracy of +/- 0.05 of a mm! If not on the blob (pun inteneded ;-))
