Have a look at the Carrara banshee X at Halfrods.0
-
Def not nother halfords bike0

Nothing wrong with Carreras - not some apollo rubbish. And a better bet than an old Patriot with no warranty.0
-
you'd get a lot more for your "dollar" (GBP i assume) with a HT.
but as ss said, nothing wrong with a carrera banshee!! tis a capable bike for the money... just a bit on the heavy side.0 -
Just like the idea of saying 2 mates that i got an orange dh bike as itll be the best bike out of the lot and bein a bloke we always have 2 av the best stuff.0
-
Not if it cracks, like many did.0

LOL the Patriot was never a DH bike."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I ride a diamondback outlook and struggles with alot of the terrain around me but 1 m8 rides a rockrider 6.3 and other one rides a giant boulder but wants to get and ironhorse which would be the best bike but he is probably the worst rider me being the best and he also thinks he knows more than me when i had 2 explain what northshore and dh also fr with pics and long sentences. Hes full of excuses aswell.0

I get the feeling you have a preconceived idea of the bike you want to show off to your mates, irrespective of which bike is actually the best for what you want to do with it.
But that's just what I'm getting.Claud Bulter Cape Wrath D27 (2009)

do you want a bike that works, or one to show off to your mates?0

Sounds like you have answered your own question and your mind is made of with the Patriot?Adam.

Whoops, I kept getting flood control coming up telling me I couldn't post so soon after the last but it was letting me post in the background at the same time. :oops:Claud Bulter Cape Wrath D27 (2009)

i think you just want to show off to your mates, dont be an idiot, get the best bike, not something you percieve to be flash, honestly, when you whip your mates down the track, then they will respect you, not when you tell them you have a bike that is famouse for snaping in half!I like bikes and stuff0

is this a windup?
600 quid bike at 13!!!!!oneeleven ZOMGWTF are your parents made of money? Get a ladies' shopping bike and run that down the bmx track like we all had to at that age. Kids today, I ask yer
