Hi everyone, just intrigued as to what people are looking to pick up next to fulfill their cycling needs?
After buying my bike last month, and spending a fortune this month on jersey's, golves, shorts, leggings, ive decided with next months pay to buy the essentials!
Basically ive been cycling with no spare inner tubes, no pump on me and no tools that will help me incase i do get a puncture! May also pick up a pair of Tacx Tao bottle cages as ive heard very good things about them!

A Planet-X SL Pro Carbon with either Rival or carbon Centaur, some lightish wheels, Ksyrium Elites perhaps, and as much extra lightness as I can manage for as close to £1500 as I can get. (i.e Budget will inexorably climb towards 2k  )
Probably, ...unless I change my mind again of course!0 -
A lighter seatpost and the new 11spd Athena for my training/winter bike. I've also been meaning to get some Swisstop pads as wellExpertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

I really want some Cinelli cork splash tape for my Bianchi. Unfortunately the color I want seems to be discontinued...I wanted the purple/black combination....so I think I'll either be getting plain black or a light blue Cinelli cork tape. This is because I am sick of having to clean up my bar tape (it's white) every time I finish riding!
I also want to buy a pair of baggy shorts, cycling undercrackers and a helmet...the problem with the helmet idea is that they always look ridiculously big on my skull. They don't seem to fit as well as everyone else's does!0 -
a kryptonite ground anchor and a bloody good abus lock to protect your investment0

New tyres, as my current ones are not very grippy on corners. :?
New pedals and shoes - want to move from SPD to SPD-SL.
New chain as I have somehow managed to twist two inner plates.
Two new bottle cages and bottles - probably get two white Camelbak Podium.
New lock.
Some more jerseys and bib shorts.
All, of course, in no particular order. I'll be splash out and getting everything at the same time. :P0 -
Lets see
New Cassette
New Chain
New Brake Set and/or pads
New Saddle
New Wheels0 -

Why not spend 2k on a P-X with Full 7900, DA wheels, Zipp bar and stem?0 -
Well after trying a Wilier Cento Uno with SR11 last week, it could very well be that! Quite simply the best carbon bike I have ever tested, and I've tested a few. Lovely!0

I was tempted, but I'm not convinced that I want DA. 'Tis remarkable value mind...0 -

I just love the world lol! Well i tempted fate with my post yesterday, 10 mins into my commute to work i got the inevitable puncture! So ive got a trip to Harry Halls to make at dinner to pick up a pump as well as a couple of inner tubes. Ive already got a saddle bag, i got one of them cheap ones from Aldi the other week.
So now ive got them out of this months wage, next months is for a pair of bottle cages!0 -

lots of purchases in advance of L'etape
replace tyres & spare, new pump (deciding between a decent frame pump or co2 or one which combines the two, or that mini track pump), new assos jersey - will probably get this next so I can test it plenty of times. Just been looking at bike mechanic courses too.
what I really should be thinking about is what I'm going to buy my husband for his 40th on TUESDAY!0 -
This is going to sound like a really stupid question, but what size tubes do i need for me spesh allez? Its just got the standard wheels/tyres on but there are that many differnt sizes i am lost lol!0

700c, suitable for a 25mm wide tyre. Make sure you get the right sort of valve; Schraeder (stubby, car-type) or Presta (pointy type, more common on road tubes). As a final complication Prestas come in normal and 'long' valves, the latter used for deeper aero rims.0

Either a proper fitting Campag-shod winter/hack or a decent fork for my MTB. Being without my Izoard for a month has finally convinced me my Allez is too big and needs replacing and secondly reminded me how much fun ragging a hardtail all over is.0
