Is training with a hangover dangerous?

Went out last night and had a 'few to drink' and was wondering if it would be safe to go on a ride? I have eaten and have probably drunk 3 pints of water since this morning so is there a danger of being dehydrated or something that could harm ones health? Is taking part in vigorous exercise harmful with a hangover in other words? Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert or a doctor but I have gone out plenty of times with a hangover to clean out. I was always in good health without any conditions to worry about though. Just be sure you're still not too woosy to control your bike and bring some extra fluid. A good sweaty ride has always been the best cure for hangovers that I've experienced.

I've done like 60 miles on a hangover before, it's not going to cause any harm, but it's not very good if you feel crap. Makes a ride not enjoyable.

Never had any problems. One of the nice things about fresh air and exercise is that its a pretty good cure for a hangover.

Always makes me feel better - assuming I can summon up the effort to get changed and out. Once out, within 10 minutes I feel okay again. Better hangover cure than a fried egg sandwich. :D

If racing with a hangover was dangerous, most of the mountain bike races in the early 90's would have only had 3 people in them!

Especially at races like the Malverns!!
