Recovery from poor posture associated pains

Hi,
If I'd been riding an ill fitting bike for a long (long) time and had developed various shoulder and neck pains then how long to recover now I've been fitted to a new bike. Will the affected muscles need a long time to adjust having spent so long in a pain inducing position.
Thanks
John

This is all hypothetical, yes?
Not enough information given really, long time, weeks, months, years?
If only weeks or months then theoretically it will take as long a time as it needs for your muscles to reaccustomise, probably a number of weeks or so depending on your average mileage.
If its been years then your age will play a larger factor, as a youngster, riding the wrong painful position, you risk tendon, nerve, and potentially bone/joint growth problems, as a fully developed adult these risks are reduced but rehabilitation may be reduced.
So many factors effect the outcome that only the individual involved will truely know.0 -
In other words, "depends". :twisted:Hemingway Soapbags0
