If you've found us by being thrown onto a bike by the tube strike and are doing some longer term research.

Welcome!

Don't be put off by the self regard* of the elite peleton** - we all had a first bike commute once.

Hang around and don't be put off.

Anyone try commuting in London for the first time this week?

* There's NONE more self regarding around here than me by the way.
** "Elite" is used in its widest possible term here. I could for example be classed as an elite tri-athelete, I can run, swim and cycle. I feel no need to do them consecutively, at the weekend when i could be doing a spot of weeding.

    Well said that man.

    You can both ram it.

I'd rather grit my chamois creme and use it as toothpaste than have you two wlecome me to anything other than your upcoming court cases (as defendants other Greg)

God, for a minute there I though you were going to remind us all of your ahem "noobs"
I still haven't recovered from that sight.

Seriously though, I did my first ever London bike commute yesterday, a frustrating zig zag through stationery vehicles that was only marginally better than walking.
Still at least the train up there was fairly empty. Glad to be back to my yokel commute today.
    "Impressive break"

Damn it. My 'well said that man' should have come in one post earlier. I'm suing... quoted out of context.

    And what's my court case?

Funnily enough, I'd rather you grit your creme and use it as toothpaste than I welcome you to anything as well.

    What a coincidence :P

I had to read that a number of times, looking over the top of my half moon glasses before I got the full glory of it.

Have you warmed up yet from your brush with hypothermia from having to be outside and have a pint on Friday? Tough Guy.

My god, Jash has finally gone crazy.

An addendum to the noob hello - if you're feeling chilly on top, feel free to ask nicely for your scalps back and we might return them as a welcome gift :)

Suspect it's less crazy than using my surname though :D

Thought that might slow you up a bit. I bet you had to move your lips while you were reading it too.

Spelled is the action, spelt is the description. Both are correct, depending on the originally intended context of his sentance.
