Police clamping down on cyclists in Oxford and Bournemouth

Only just seen this thread - is the down supposed to be a deterrent or does it make repeat offenders easier to indentify?

OK, I live in Bournemouth and commute daily along the seafront - when you're allowed to of course!

It is clearly signposted both in terms of speed limit (advisory only) and restrictions.

As for the speed camera exercise, yes it's a waste of time but it sells newspapers!
