Sorry, I mangled that a bit.

McQuaid said Sastre and VDV would be angered by Kohl's comments about the top 10. But only those 2 were mentioned.

    Odd?

    Or telling something?

Sastre is apparently known as Mr Clean and Garmin are the team who talk most about being clean. Maybe he was just making a joke about that?

Kohl is now denying he said the top 10 were doped:

Misquoted? Or worried about the lawyers?

Reading that, everyone seems to be openly and repeatedly stating that there's no test for auto doping. I wonder if they have got one up their sleeves (like CERA last year) and they're laying a trap.

Probably not, but it's a thought.

Full quote changes the context slightly:

“If I was Carlos Sastre, Christian Vande Velde or some of the other riders in the top ten, I’d be very angry.”

If/when they DO come up with a valid test for auto doping, I'll think you'll finally see a 'clean' peleton and the face of cycling will change dramatically.

I think I read though - that one of the things the passport is supposed to do is help catch auto dopers as it can 'see' when blood has been removed from the system and possibly when it is injected back in. Not 100% on this though - and not sure if/what the UCI can do about it if they suspect someone of doing it.
