Hi,
After each time I clean my bike I have trouble aligning my cadence sensor to the GSC 10 for my Garmin 705. Despite following the directions in the guide I cannot seem to get the red light to blink.
Any helpful suggestions out there?
Thanks
Claire

try the workshop forum.
on my setup the cadence magnet from the crank arm is about 2.5mm from the sensor and the part of the magnet that has a vertical line in it (not the bit where the ziptie goes) goes directly through the middle of the two lines on the sensor. Pressing the button causes it to light up red and green when the cadence or speed magnet passes.
if you need to lean the sensor across to be nearer the cadence magnet the speed arm sensor can be adjusted by undoing the screw, moving out and then tightening again.
of course, cadence is a red herring ......... :-)--
Obsessed is just a word elephants use to describe the dedicated. http://markliversedge.blogspot.com0 -
The sensor might just be broken, i'm on my thrid sensor now on 305. First one worked for a while, second not all, third been going good for months now.0

i ditched the garmim setup and just stuck a small rare earth magnet on the pedal spindle. Much neater and works perfectly.0

I had a similar problem. Press the button on the sensor and then try running a magnet right next to it and see if the sensor's light comes on. If the light doesn't come on then your sensor is bust. I have a sensor on my old training bike and that's been fine for over 2 years but unfortunately the new (ish) sensor on one of my nice bikes packed up after a paltry 2 months dry usage. Sent it back and got a replacement with no hassle.0

After further failed attempts I called Garmin and have a new one on the way.
Thanks for advice.
