I wondered if anyone has had any experience with Trion:Z or similar ionic bracelets http://www.trionz.co.uk/
I have read a few things about them and their like and it seems that they either do b**ger all or work wonders for the wearer energy and aches wise.
Are they worth a punt and has anyone experienced that they really do, do any good?

They cant work, but if you believe that they will, then go for it.0

Whether it is placebo or not, if it works, great!0

Are you seriously enquiring as to whether these could have any benefit? This is one of the most ludicrous examples of pseudoscientific nonsense I've ever come across..
Fools, and their money....you know what they say.0 -
Well if it's good enough for Jet from TV's Gladiators, it's good enough for me.
Watching her when I was growing up, I could have done with some kind of wrist strengthening device.0 -
Brilliant!
I can guess which type of molecules you were emitting, and I don't think they were 'minus-ions'.0 -
Absolute b*ll*cks. Quackery of the highest order.
If you're looking for a straightforward performance-enhancing activity with no harmful side-effects, why not just have a nice relaxing poo before a ride?<font>Hemingway Soapbags</font>0 -

Well they are used by many top sportsmen and women.
The Phiten brand of necklace and bracelets are used by Paula Radcliffe,Sonia O' Sullivan ,David Coultard, golfers, cyclists, runners, tennis players and many more.
Rubbish or not they work for some people.
I believe to demonstrate their items they get people to lift heavy items and then get them to lift the same items but with a Phiten wristband and they notice a difference!
Has anybody out there actually tried one of the Phiten products?Myprotein referral code mp288135 (get money off)0 -

isnt that what they do to Rodeo horses to get 'em to buck? they say its on the wrist but they lie0 -
I have not studied physics for many years but the claims that the "twin 1000 gauss magnets"
can prevent "Positive Ions from, UV Rays, electronic equipment, mobile phones, wifi zones and computer" from reaching your entire body are incorrect.
Ions are deflected by magnetic fields, this much is true
But to have a bracelet or bracelets that would produce a big enough field to do this for your entire body is impractical. I don't have the time to look up all the necessary formulas for this but I would guess that a large electro magnet would be required. Magnetic fields have a strong local effect but this falls off rapidly with distance. So making a large weak field is diificult.
It is true that in modern living there is a good chance of a higher peak exposure to Ions of various sorts. But they do occur commonly in nature. If the magnetic bracelet did really work then it might have a bad effect by blocking out all kinds of background radiation0 -
People regularly underestimate the strength of the placebo effect; for example did you know that there is some evidence that even when you know it's a placebo, it still works?
You don't have to look too far from here to find evidence of the effectiveness of placebos (old ones like "wear a sweater so you don't catch a chill", new ones like echinacea): try http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12631057&highlight=0
