Creaking Bottom Bracket
Fitted the bottom bracket for my Aluminium frame tomy new carbon framed bike. Bottom bracket is a carbontec ceramic.
Now when standing on the pedals I get a creak. I can be seated and put a real load through and get no noise.
Stripped all back greased tightened all ok but still it is there. I removed the spacers I had as these weren't needed on the new bike.
Any ideas? It seems the carbon frame amplifys the sound

Grease / lube every mating surface. IME ceramic bearings are very 'noisy' so unless you lube them, you're going to hear them.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Just a thought, but are you sure it's the BB? I had the same circumstances/creaking which sounded like it came from the BB but it was cured by retightening the back wheel."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0

Aggieboy you were spot on it seems. Removed the rear wheel to put a new tyre on and after putting it back in and hey presto noise gone.0
