My route goes past Josh Stone (aka Stoker)'s house in Hemyock

I've seen her a couple of times in that pink car of hers

This is the only celebrity in Devon so don't expect too many other posts on this thread

Hang on - doesn't Kate Bush have a house in Devon? - and there's Angela Rippon (who knows my mum), and I saw Hugh skully on South View Terrace in Plymouth when I lived there.

Well - I forgot a few - that bloke out of Armstrong and Miller who's not Miller - in Hyde Park; Jack Straw in Lewisham sitting in the back of a limousine - there was only bullet proof glass between us - I missed my chance; and someone I'm conviced is Nigel Lawson - looked just like him - walking on the cycle path in Hyde Park.

I was standing by my bike (does that count?) the other week when...

Kristen Schaal walked up the opposite side of the road. Sadly, it was minus the chicken.

 Kirsten Schaal walking around holding a c0ck............and a rather large one too :-p

I say Peter Stringfellow once, I wasn't on my bike but was walking from my car to a repair job - does that count as "commuting"?

I don't see many, but ages ago when I was cycling down a pavement in Hoxton, as you do, Richard Ashcroft just barged straight into me, what a rude banker.

Back when we lived in London me and the missus would ride in together from Greenwich to London Bridge before going our separate ways. We'd usually go the scenic (ie slow, along the river) route rather than mixing it with the traffic on Creek Road/Lower Road/Jamaica Road etc.

Coming through Rotherhithe High St one time, a jogger wearing a beanie hat was coming towards us, the missus, who was riding point, turned and said to me (in her American accent):

    "F*ck me! It's Captain Picard!"

It came out a little bit louder than she expected. Actually, on reflection, a lot louder. But it was indeed Patrick Stewart, and he definitely heard her

I saw Bill Bailey on Borough high st whilst I walked from London Bridge station to my office, pre-cycle commuting days. I just stared at him trying to work out if it was actually him, then followed him for a bit Spooks style, he ducked into an artisan bread shop and I lost him.

Last night I came within inches of crashing into Rick Stein's convertible Rolls Royce near Parsons Green, when he pulled into the road without looking. He's probably in a private celebrity clinic now, suffering from stress and anxiety following the cursing that ensued.

Saw Princess Margaret on the same commute, being driven down Buckingham Palace Road flanked by six police outriders. She's looked better.

I saw John Snow whilst waiting at the traffic lights in Kentish Town.

And I once saw Alexi Sayle riding his bike in Camden, and Billy Connolly on a London to Brighton ride.

I was walking through Richmond once when I spotted a green Rolls with "my" numberplate - RA1, it was only as I drew alongside (He was stationery - I'm not that fast) that I spotted the occupant - Richard Attenborough.

Said hello to Paul McGann in Bike Tech in Bristol many years back, we had a chat about the production of Calamity Jane I worked on which very nearly killed his brother Stephen, they're bothkeen cyclists too.
    "Impressive break"

    "Thanks...

    ...I can taste blood"
