    I did think basso's surges on stage 2 and 3 looked very powerful...so I guess we should not be surprised at all he's struck on such a day

    Lovely stage. Leipheimer - can't descend so going to lose some time. Wish Basso would stay out but Menchov is pushing hard.

    Thanks for info on magenta jersey - it is a shame really that it isn't a pure sprinters jersey.
