I'm human wreckage just now, did glentress black for the first time and my legs are done. Still, apparently I'm fitter than I thought, I really doubted I'd be able to do it all. I did bottle the Wormhole, properly scary that qualifier, watching my (far, far better than me) mate take 5 runs at it and still not clear it put me off a bit And he was trying to convince me to do it. "You'll be fine, look, it's easyaiiiiieeeee!"
Loved it though, mainly because of the whole worn-down nature of so much of the trail, it's not really like a trail centre trail, it's more like the local XC loop from hell. Nice day for it too, and we never saw another soul. Anyone who says GT is too busy, here's the answer. Anyone who says there's nothing technical to ride at GT and the trails are too smooth, here is the answer tooUncompromising extremist0 -
Managed to get out on the bike a fair bit at the weekend, awesome weather and awesome rides....good times!
Sat went for a 25k loop around Dartmoor, some great riding and some pretty insane hills, but what else did I expect, managed to grab a couple of pics from the top of one of the many tors;
Today just shot up to the trails at Holden, did a couple of loops and love the feeling of noticeably quicker around the loop. So not a bad weekend seeing as I was going to give both days a miss as my brakes needed bleeding!0 -

What tors did you visit mate?
Is the second pic Hay Tor? I haven't been up there for ages, but it looks familiar.0 -
Nope, that pic is at the top of Bellever Tor, just near Postbridge. Great riding around there, did the Killer loop starting at Postbridge the other month too, now that was pretty intense!
Get down to Devon much?0 -
Did 15 miles at Swinley today. Quite funny, I called my mate who I ride with at 8'ish.
As I set off he called me from Basingstoke (where he lives) to tell me it's pouring and Swinley will be getting the rain too. I said that was not going to deter me from going, rain or shine I am Swinley bound..
Anyway it was amazing, 26º and real sunshine, got a little lost and found areas in the Forest we didn't know existed, did the legendary Labyrinth (twice) and had an awesome day - did two sessions.
Oh, did anyone notice all the aluminium ramps all over the forest as well as all the signs, equipment and building work?
Apparently they're filming parts of the new Harry Potter movie in the Forest.0
