Just ordered a pair of the Contour ESPs myself. Cheers for the heads up...

Someone should stick this in the credit crunch thread. Proper deal.

+1 for the Aldi ones. 5 squids for triple lenses. I had to get the in-laws to get mine though, we dont have an Aldi over here.
I also understand that Lidl have something much the same.
I just dont understand why people buy £100+ shades for cycling in. You may think you look cool in them, but when you fall off, and they break, and you cry, you dont look so cool then do ya 8)

Cat - exactly! I was convinced there was "another way" and this thread has proven there is.

Happy to spend a bit on certain kit but not on see through glasses!

Both spuds and washing up liquid work well to avoid steaming, but I'd recommend this:

OK, it might seem mad to spend £5 to mistproof a £5 pair of glasses, but bear with me... It'll last forever, and it doesn't wash off easily, but the main advantage is that it also helps clear the lens when it rains- drops just run straight off it. I've used it for motorbike visors for years and it's incredible in bad weather, even mist and fog don't beat it as they bead up then the beads roll off.

Plus, it lasts for ages- on the outside of a motorbike visor, I redo it about once a month, but it cna be taking heavy rain hits at, well, let's say exactly 70mph and never any more ever, for hours at a time, without losing effectiveness- mountain bike use just doesn't touch that.

That looks good and a big fan of Nikwax stuff (got two Analogy jackets made from their material and use their tech wash and tx direct a lot) - does that also stop fogging up? Assume it does?

I had some of the Bolle Spider ones and really liked them, although they did scratch up to the point where they were unusable fairly quickly and I don't think I treated them that badly.

After those I got some of the blue dhb ultralites but found they steamed up really easily and then took a long time to clear so I ended up taking them off more often than not. I wasn't too upset when I lost them on the Merida last weekend, hope whoever found them gets on better with them than I did!

I wore the spider's out this week and they were great, with them being nice and lightweight I tend to forget that they are on, the fit is also spot on for me as they didnt budge once in two hours riding.

only time I took them off was to de-sweat my face

I also use the dhb triple lens glasses but can't beleive what a good deal these Bolles's are.

Found a few sites selling them so I think I might order both the contour esp lens £6.10 and might try the spider esp £5.95 as well, they even sell a Bolle spec case for £1.88.

If these glasses are comfy and don't mist up too much, thats a bargain! :)

    Stumpjumper fsr comp £1,600
    Some cycle clobber £357.26
A load of stuff to clean and lube with £54.56
    Hydration rucksack £9.95

Watching this clueless buffoon make an ar$e of myself out on the trails. PRICELESS! :D

Just found some anti-mist versions (not Bolle) but cheaper...

Anti scratch and mist ones, and cheaper still...!

Mine didn't mist up at all this morning.

Also chuffed to have Bolles - been using their sunglasses for about 5 years now!

Currently have Anacondas which are excellent (for me).

Unfortunately they cost more than ten times more than the Contours! Still a lot cheaper than Oakleys which I can't stand.

Yup. NO idea how it works, it's just sort of visor voodoo I think.
