Clear glasses

Okay, getting sick of insects in my eyes and mud splats. Glasses time (non prescription).
Happy to spend on some parts but not on these - any recommendations for basic eyewear?
Got decent sunglasses so no sun protection needed!
Preferably not too spazzy...!

Maddisons do some cheapie ones.
I always ride with them now, its surprising how much you find sticking to them!*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

I got these Bolle clear safety glasses, £4 delivered from ebay. Tough lenses (obviously) and a flexible frame that won't break easily. All you need!0

I get mine in tool station, not the most fashionable but not spazzy but any stretch. Kinda like a wraparound style.
Best thing is they are only £2.50 a pair so no need to bother looking after them, I normally buy a couple of pairs at a time. Also they are proper safety glasses so you know they are not going to shatter and blind you in a crash. They also do the yellow lens one too which are handy for dull days."Didn't hurt"0 -
I used to work in the floorig industry and some of the saftey glasses look pretty cool. Much cheaper than the glasses that you get from any cycle shop too. The pair that I currently use are designed for people who sand wooden floors so they fit nice and tight on the cheeks and have a foam strip running across the top to prevent sweat dripping into my eyes. They're also rubberised and grippy since they're designed to stay on the head of somebody using heavy, vibrating floor sanding equipment.
If you check out the screwfix website, you'll find clear glasses that look like designer sunglasses for about a fiver.

Or there are some nice DeWalt ones foe a couple of quid more. These aren't the ones I use, I got mine from a small trade supplies shop in Redhill. But there's a good choice at screwfix anyway. I consider glasses to be just as important as a helmet when it comes to safety and rarely ride without them.0 -

The Bolle ones are really good, probably better than most cycling specific glasses. Quite annoyed about that, a mate of mine has a pair and they look and work better than my DHB's.Uncompromising extremist0

Northwind - that's why I'm really chuffed that Bikeradar helped me out again!
I'm a real fan of Bolle stuff too - had several pairs of their sunglasses but the most recent pair were almost £90 (and wife's were £75) so nice to grab a bargain!0 -

I got some cheapo £8 ones from decathlon and they do the job quite well, and the lenses are interchangeable, you get clear and dark in the box. They steam up sometimes though when you've got a sweat on and come to a stop. But for the price the overall performance is good.2009 - Giant Trance X3

I used the dhb triple lens i got free from wiggle with my first order of £50. one clear lens, one blue lens and one grey lens, covers all weathers.
they were an amazing fit and never budged during a ride and they looked good. i recently gave them away as started using my oakley halfjackets to ride in and to be honest i prefer the dhbsBoardman Hybrid Pro

Arrived today and they (Bolles) are superb!
Cannot believe that "proper" ones are £100++.
I went crazy and paid the extra quid or so for the ESP (go darker in bright light) lenses - a whole £7 delivered.
They look decent and will test them out tomorrow.
Cheers all - you saved me a big chunk of cash!0 -

The seller was wiwuk (99.% +ve feedback)
They really are very good indeed!
Slightly different from the pic - mine have sort of smoked metail coloured frames. Definitely look as good as any "proper" glasses I have seen.
Just one thing - they can fog up a bit when you stop - any hints for cheap anti fogging anyone?0 -
-
tiny bit of washing up liquid on the inside of the lense, or get some car window anti fog spray from halfrauds.0

Mr Wu - really?! I like it! Cheers!0

Well it works on my paintballing goggles really well. I think you can do the same thing with candle's.0
