Time ATAC XS's; mtb pedals are a lot shorter fore-and-aft than road pedals (apart from Speedplays). Having already acquired some XC race shoes, I decided I didn't need two pairs of shoes I can't walk in...

Of bigger concern is that, in both our pictures, the chain is in the inner ring.

Maybe you were just easing the rear mech springs? 8) All pro's do it you know!

Not sure I'd fancy going up Leith Walk either. Though my brother seems to manage well enough on an MTB.

You all have a lot to learn when it comes to taking bike photos get yourselves over here and read http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopi ... hlight=ocd

DDD yellow caps WTF are you thinking, yes yes we get it that your using conti tubes now take those off.

Jash FFS man either give up on the white bar tape or WASH it.

I will not be joining the CSP this year i'm opting to splash my cash on gadgets, groupset & wheels only once i've ridden the arse of my Trek 1.7 will I consider carbon and then it will most likely be that Cervelo G66 pointed out.

ITB no one is more deserving of Carbon than you.

You kept it real and road the phluck out of Wiltshire during 'your time off near daliy. You have a fleet of well riden bikes. You've done you bit for Brit bikes: you have a sexy Dolan.

Finally you rode from Wiltshire to London and met us at the Morpeth.

When the time is right the carbon will love you dearly!

    Question:

What is wrong with balancing my bike on books - my girlfriends cook books "shhhhhh don't tell her...."?

What's wrong with the yellow dustcaps or having any dust caps on a bike? They came with the bike....

    Just so I understand correctly

You guys posts pictures of your hideously expensive carbon uber bikes on the internet.

Then you arrange a rendevous at a bar in London where all these bikes will be congregated, time & place posted on the forum.

Invariably at least one of your number will post a thread entitled "I forgot my lock"

Have you ever seen 'Gone in 60 seconds'?

PS I still think the best looking bike on Bike Radar is ITB's Dolan, I know there are many reasons why I am wrong, but there you go.

Very kind of you sir the Dolan is currently in the process of going 10 speed full campagnolo with a new set of semi deep planet-x rims and pave tyres.

It's a dream to ride really smooth and quiet and proper rapid, in fact i've ridden it on a couple metric rides, its a very comfortable fit.

Not carbon, no even TT yet but I suspect this build is going to produce a fast light bike.

Bartape is carbon 'effect' :) Brake calipers are carbon though, even the jockey wheels are rather sexy Token items :) Not found a carbon bottle yet but the wheels are next on my hit-list :)

    1. The yellow doesn't match anything else on the bike.

    2. You'd get mauled by the weight weenies for having dust caps. Think of the extra weight. :P (It's not as bad as the reflector hanging from my seat though.)

    Lovely bike though.

ITB - have you got a braze on for the front mech then?

Are you going to take out the spacers between the headtube and stem? :P

Yes there's a braze on all 105+ groupsets have braze on and/or clamps and yes the spacers will go once I work out the right fit, I have a dura ace 7900 BB & bar end shifters with cane creek brake levers and soon to be matching calipers - they are soooo good.

    Deda bars & stem

Even though the frame was super cheap this is not going to be a cheap project :D

Not sure those Condor carbon forks work, I might swap them over to my Trek to go with the new ceramic upgrades.

You'll need ceramic jockey wheels then.

And, if it's a TT bike, you'll need deeper rims for a start. Otherwise, there's no point having a TT bike.

A: Friend who's briefly let go of it for long enough to take the picture.

B: Summat stick-like hidden behind the seat tube.

    C: Invisible books/Photoshop.

Lovely bike at any rate, as are the others in this thread.

Why stop at deep rims? I reckon it wouldn't take much of a nudge to get him purchasing a full disc for the rear wheel!

As for all this carbon bike pr0n it's all very nice, I do however get a special pang of enjoyment at I scalp someone on a full carbon bike with my lowly SCR 3.0 :-D

As for the magic standy up bike i reckon the pic was shopped, you can tell by the pixels ;-)
