By virtue of me being rubbish at getting out of bed in a morning, I only arrived at work 4 hours ago.

At least it beats dealing with rush hour twice a day.

Had a snooze on the train this morning - mouth open, drooling etc. This after doing intervals on way home last night, so today is a rest day for me, thank goodness!

    oooo.... Friday.

I'm off this week getting the house ready for selling so no commuting and the weather has been poor for a leisure ride - I really want to get another one in before going back to work on Monday as well

Was made redundant last month, with a bit of gardening leave beforehand, so it is something like 6 weeks since my last commute. Having said that, I've had some nice rides since then, albeit not many due to a dodgy knee that I'm working to fix.

Friday 24th I think ... nearly 3 wks! I'm still pretty poorly, but returned to work today (it has been a bit sporadic lately.

GP is clueless to what is wrong with me, two courses of progressively "stronger" antib's later and my chest is still rubbish. Did blood and x-rays yesterday, so I wait with baited breath to discover the outcome.

    Oh, woe is me! :(

If you're near an oneils, you can bag yourself a free pint of guinness for about 2 mins worth of signing up with a made up email address :)

    Tuesday.

Exhausted Wednesday, so skipped that. And drove in today to be in on time and unflustered for a meeting THAT WASN'T EVEN ON.

    Damn them.

Riding tomorrow come hell or high water.

  • 8:05 18 March 2009  The temporarily separated parts of my AC shoulder joint have found each other but the price of 6 weeks without moving your shoulder at all is muscle atrophy. What little muscle I have left (lost 6lbs but none from my waiste!!!) is stiff and sore. Physio is helping but my range of motion is so poor that I'd only be able to ride very straight routes (can't turn right and can't signal to turn left  ). Even when sufficient range of motion returns I'm going to have to think of a credible non-cycling excuse to explain to Mrs TCS why I'm leaving the house in lycra and clippy shoes

This morning. Worked away from the office and couldn't be bothered to come out at London Bridge, go into office, change and ride home so will start again tomorrow evening.

Mind you, got home really quickly. The Underground wasn't too unpleasant for a change.
