er, it's a great jacket but it's only really windproof and a little water repellant. Ride in proper rain and it wets out in half an hour.

The reason I am getting one of these is that last Paris Brest Paris 1200km audax, it rained pretty much every day during the event. A couple of people I know reported that their montane velos worked fine.
If the water repellancy goes (which it does after not much use ) they can be effectively reproofed with tx-direct
I would not use one of these for commuting. I have a Paramo Velez for that0
