Steak 99s are so awesome

haha... so besides the gold standard that is the fillet (poshly said as we're all connoisseurs obviously - "fillayy") whats your favourite cut?
and your favourite ice cream?0 -
for me the best cut is rump, done correctly and using good quality meat, its amazing, plus its ace value for money. i find fillet is the most tender but has the least flavour. another good one but it is very fatty is a steak made from a fore-rib, absolutely lush but quite a pricey thing so all things considered: rump.
ice cream = mr whippy from a truck or ben and jerrys phish food from the freezer.0 -
Fillet then rib eye,
Flake 99 then calippoNow that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -
I'd go with ribeye....after the fillaaayyyy of course
And for the ice cream....sorry no 99's but I'd take Ben and Jerrys Cherry Garcia covered in chocolate sauce.....a close second being the walls white chocolate magnum mmmmm
I think an important question remains...how do we like our steak cooked.....well done (overcooked and dry ergh) or still moo-ing? Orr BBQ styl-ee burnt on the outside...food poisoning on the insideRide it like you stole it!0 -
i'm not sure on steak, not keen on rib eye though. Sirloin is nice if its cooked properly
Ice cream = bubblegum flavour. BUT its gotta be from the ice cream van back home. its the same texture as mr whippy but bubblegum flavour! stacked full of E numbers so it gets you well hyper0 -
Red for sure, but I like the blood to stay in the steak, not all over the mash and in the gravy :roll:Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10

ooohhhh bubble gum ice cream sounds intriguing...and Im loving the E number content. Blue food colouring sends me wappy, its great! Just a shame they are removing it from like every food ever grrrrr.....bring back proper blue smarties I sayRide it like you stole it!0

OMG... they are at another level of icecream!0 -
Do you remember those Huuuuhe jaw breaker gum ball things the ice cream vans used to sell too......most of them were proper bubblegum flavour and coated in lurrrvly e numbers to boot, but there was some random chilli ones, I think they were called fireballs or something thrown in to make death occur on random occasions!
Ooohh and totally ona different subject, Morrisons sell on their deli/rotisserie counter things a prodct called 'chicken wings of fire' classic. I'd buy them just for the name!Ride it like you stole it!0 -

i used to be of the rare and bleeding persuasion but i recently (in the last 2 months!) figured out it taste better nice and pink but not bleeding still.
i have a t bone well done though as its easier to take the meat off the bone.

This has just given me a flashback from yesterday's craziness. I think an ice cream van turned up in the street and I had a 99, but I can't really be sure. What I do know is that the day began with a trip to the cornershop for a pack of crisps, a Solero and 2 cans of Special Brew......"The problem was, I was still using my eyes even though I had them shut"
