Hopefully, after yesterdays result, I will only be a football league fan for 3 more games!!
What a day, yesterday was what being a football supporter is all about. Im still coming down....
As a Wolves fan, hugely relieved about not having to go down the play-off route for once! Things a little further down the table haven't lacked for action, though, and we may even end up with an all-Lancashire play-off final just to keep the drama going to the end (given the amount of time they've both been out of the top flight, I'd rather see either North End or Burnley go up as opposed to Reading or the Blades).

Looking to get back into the Conference from where we were unceremonially ejected when the old club went bust. It's great supporting a club that's owned by the fans and not some rich chairman's plaything.
I'm a hardcore Hucknall town fan, I think you will complete the job against Alfrescum and I think you'll play Gatesheed in the final. It'll be tough to call but I think the "heed" will shade it.
As for a league club, I have a soft spot for Nott'm Forest. So as far as footie is concerned the season is over and the cycling steps up yet another gear.
Hey Frank, it was heart-attack time in the semi 2nd leg. Got beat 4-3 but went through 5-4 on aggregate. You were right, we'll be playing Gateshead in the final this Friday night. It's a 5 hour drive up there but I'm taking a car load. We'd better win otherwise it's gonna be the longest drive in history on the way home.
Did HTFC go down in the end or were you reprieved?0 -
Depressed addick here. Moved to Kerry this season and only got back for a handful of games - didn't see them lose though!
Worst day for me was when Charlton played Derby and it was live on Sky. Went to pub to see it, asked barman is the footy on, yes he said, I aske is it the Charlton game?, If you want he said - there was also a SPL game on Setanta. Sat down and was then approached by the only other person in the place to be told he was derby fan. So in an empty pub in Killorglin there was the only Addick and ram in Kerry watching. We should have been several goals clear but weren't, they scored an equaliser in injury time, he was laughing and I was on the floor.
Footy eh.Old hippies don't die, they just lie low until the laughter stops and their time comes round again.

With finishing rock bottom I would be amazed if we were reprieved, and to be honest I hope we aren't. We are just not good enough.
Enjoy your play off final mate, but like I said earlier I think Gateshead will probably shade it.
Sorry!!!!Tail end Charlie

Is it true that Rochdale are the team that have spent the longest in the same division? I heard that somewhere once.
Also, to any Preston fans, can you tell me why there are only 2,000 tickets for away fans for the PlayOffs? Is this normal for away fans, as it just seems quite low. And also, how many tickets are available for Bramall Lane?
I'm not having a dig, I just wanted to know cos I was surprised when i read there was only 2,0000 -

No, they are the team that has been in the lowest Division for the longest time. Surely the Woolwich Bum Chums have spent the longest time in the same division, never having been relegated. After getting into the League through some back door, as everyone knows they love the "back door", fnar fnar.0 -

I can only imagine that they would (rightly) give the required minimum amount of tickets to the away supporters because there is a chance we will sell out the home seats. It will also give us more of a home orientated atmosphere.0 -
Another wolves fan here. Quite difficult celebrating promotion the day before a road race :? A few pints didn't do me any harm :roll:0

best end of season memories:
I was at wembely in 96 when Claridge shin'ed it on 119mins against Palace! Fkin brill & when speedie took a dive and we lost 1-0 to Blackburn a year or two before. fkin gutted. Either way Play-off's are great.
93 Play off final was great, but then I am a Swindon fan0
