I am now full into the TT season and doing one time trial a week. How do I carry on with training if any? At the moment I’m only doing light riding in-between TT but clocking up 60 to 70 miles over three to four days culminating in 30 minute easy ride the day before an event and complete rest on the day :?
Still going at fifty! But for how mutch longer

  • Consider getting some expert advice or a good training plan?

I would hazard a guess that such a riding plan as you outline will see you improve initially, then plateau and maybe even lose form as the season progresses.

You'll want to include efforts in your training which will continue to develop your racing ability. You also probably need to consider how long the season is and at what stages you want to have best form.

Some parts of the season it will make sense to "train thorugh" certain races, whereas for others it makes sense to keep some freshness for good performance. However freshening up all the time for racing ends up losing you fitness and form.
