I'm after a good book on cycling nutrition for the Mr average type rider! So far all i can find is stuff for Multi day tours and elite athletes. I'm trying to find stuff for the "normal" people but with advice on what to eat when you are on days off the bike as well as pre, during and post ride. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is quite good for the basics and you can read more about particular areas for free online elsewhere if you need to after reading the basics.

Try this, especially if you have any Sportives in mind. It dedicates quite a bit of time to the why of sports nutrition.

I have read/bought that and it is very good for the beginner/intermedate rider but not a great deal about nutrition in there.0 -

and also +1 for what Poulsy said on "Elite Performance" - the nutrition bit did get me interested enough to buy Anita Bean's book though..."And the Lord said unto Cain, 'where is Abel thy brother?' And he said, 'I know not: I dropped him on the climb up to the motorway bridge'."
