What do you wear under the cycle shorts and why?

    Either will probably be fine, they are stretchy after all. I suspect the large will fit you better.

    If you are going to ride any sort of big distances it is well worth spending more. I started out with the dhb's (which are very good) but now use:

    I have a couple of pairs of little used dhb shorts in M if you want them, PM me and we can haggle if you like!
  • Thanks. Have ordered those. Went for Medium as in their size it is for a 35" waist and Large is 38".

    Good luck but I suspect you will have to send them back and go for larger. I bought a pair of XL shorts (CastellI) and they are about perfect for my 33" waist, and I take L in dhb shorts and they are also pretty snug.

    Of course, if you're hoping to lose weight then they'll be an excellent incentive :)

    As someone said earlier, it's more a question of what to wear on top than underneath! Me, I go for some cycling baggies with a removable padded lycra inner. I'm just not comfortable walking into the office in skin-tight lycra. Definitely nothing underneath though.
