In the words of JC - "why don't Ford make cars like this anymore... why why why why why?!"
Ford don't make the rally versions
And I wish Loeb would just get bored and quit! lol
Good to see Marcus Gronholm still has the magic even if he did crash out!
Get back behind the wheel of a Focus and get shot of Latvala please!0 -

Portugal was one factor, but it was actually Henri Toivonen's death during the Rally de Corse the same year that put the final nail in the Group B coffin.
If it's group B cars you're after, don't forget that there was also the Toyota Celica (which was due to be replaced by a 600bhp MR2 in 1987, but it never appeared because of the rule changes) and Renaults' R5T.
Oddly, Citroen also had a group B car, the 4TC, which was based on the BX. It only ever competed in 3 rounds of the championship, highest placing being the Rally of Sweden in 1986.
Fascinating factlet for petrolheads - the engine that was built for Rover's 6R4 was a normally-aspirated, 24-valve, 3-litre V6 developing about 300bhp. The same engine, bored out to 3,5 litres and fitted with with twin turbochargers to give 540bhp was used to power the Jaguar XJ2200 -
