Tarty coloured tyres

Can you get any shiny 700c tyres that are wider than 23mm? And are they all arguably made of cheese in comparison to solid tyres like Marathon+?
I feel like being a bit tarty, if only for a while before the p*ncture fairy makes me change my mind again.
I would LOVE white tyres. But any other awfully incongruous colour would do.
Best I've found are these, though I'm not so keen on the tread and the "Easy to skid" bit under "Design"!: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/hal ... e-ec018531
(yes I realise it's a bit fakenger but so what, it's coool! I'm even still tempted by spokeydokeys...)

Vittoria Rubino's are available in White/Black. I've run them for almost a year with no visits from the fairy. Not sure if they come in higher than 23.

Or you could try the GP4000's, although again only in 23!

Continental make the GP4000's in a number of colours (silver is the lightest) but only up to 25mm. If anyone actually sells them is another matter.

But pink and lime-green! You don't think that's overkill?Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.0 -

It's aesthetically offensive, but not matching. There's the key.
And SO tempted by spokey dokeys, just because they're incredibly childish!
...this might become a very odd bike. But at least unmistakably mine.0 -
Go the whole way get yourself coloured tyres, spoke card and pulsing night spoke light thingy which I have but can't remember the name of, very effective for being heard and seen.

No god damn it, I rang Epic today to see if it had arrived and they're closed for a stock take. Grrr.0 -
I run these in various colours naturally to match the bike in question, great price, grip and tarty
http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/p ... ncy&id=GBP
If you worried about running 23 then just keep them a little softer say 90psi I use them all over the place sometimes even off road and yes I get more than my fair share of visits from the PF, then again I get those even with the most expensive conti kelvar MTB tyres.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

But only available in yellow! I want the grey ones...0 -
sarajoy wrote:Oooo. Attica you're a bad man, that's very definitely on my commute. Do they fold?
There's also an Evans in town. Those Halo courier tyres are incredibly tempting...

Yes they do fold, and they'll be way better than the Halos, a friend has just put a pair of the Rubino Pros on to go and race on the cobbles in Flanders. Robust is a word that springs to mind."Impressive break"

That's what I was thinking - looks like those monkey light things take 3xAA batts - that's a lot of weight to add to your wheels!Do not write below this line. Office use only.0 -

I wanto those Rubino Pro's to come in green like their Pave brothers. Very "Northern Classics".0 -
Annoyingly they used to do them in green, I had a pair."Impressive break"

...damn. That would've been cool.
Odd question - when changing tyres, I'll be fine with whatever tubes were inside my 28mm tyres, right? Or might they have been a bit stretched somehow? Such a noob thing to ask!
I gather the Rubino Pros may be much better but those Halos are still the more striking - and I can't find any bad reviews on them yet... Hrrmm...
