Here's one for you!
I intend to join the massed ranks of the commuting brethren this week and will (I hope) be making the 56 mile round trip at least twice a week (probably!), along the beautiful rolling hills of the Lincolnshire countryside.
I reckon this is a fairly "hefty" commute but I'm sure there a folk out there with a longer ride so........
What's your round-trip mileage?

About 35 miles straight there and back. I can easily extend it by quite a long way.0
-
23 miles as standard - but now also going to a lot of meetings during the day. on friday I did over 40. agree that the poll should allow votes up way further, I read an earlier thread and one guy claimed to be doing 35 miles EACH WAY.0

Mine (when I MTFU and start properly doing it) is 39 and a bit miles round trip, I'm planning to be managing at least 3 times a week by the end of summer, but bike failure and illness have hindered my training booooo!Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

62 miles round trip.
Fixed.
I would vote but it doesn't go high enough.
I do it twice a week all year round.
And it takes 12 minutes (on average) longer than the same trip by car!0 -
my wifes commute is 4ish miles takes her at pottering speeds 20ish mins, by car out of rush hour takes 15/10 mins during rushhour 30mins normally but every now and then can be over a hour so that one could walk their faster, bus/trains have too many stops to be useful, as ever.0

32 miles round trip along an old railway line.0

Sometimes I drive (not often)
So it can make 180-odd commuting miles a week by bike.
Then there is the racing and club rides at the weekend.0 -
44 round trip for me, 4 days a week. Now the clocks have gone back and we have some light in the evenings I'll be extending my evening ride to 40ish (giving a total of 60-65 miles) 3 nights a week.pain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever.....................
Revised FCN - 20 -
Depends on which way I go!!
6 miles direct each way (Fixed!)
20 miles each way (Road bike) if I go via the old severn bridge crossing.
36 miles each way (Road Bike) if I go via clevedon, Avonmouth, severn Bridge and Thornbury.
The 36 miler is reserved for very sunny days, although I will do it all week (if it is sunny all week) as I don't have access to a car.....Anything shorted than 40 miles is done on the fixie.
Part of the fun of cycle commuting is finding new places to roam and seeing new things - the mileage, just keeps the fitness hand in. Can also depend on hillage......and banana intake.0 -
18-20 mile round trip depending on route. It seems like I'm one of the less bonkers ones on hereToday is a good day to ride0

Shall we have a similar poll for total weekly mileage?
My round trip is 30 miles which often leaves me with a total 120 miles for the week, I've yet to manage the full 150 mainly due to work commitments or wanting fresh legs to enjoy the weekend."Impressive break"

5 miles commute plus another 6 mile round trip daily to meet Mrs JW from work plus weekend rides - 20 miles average - around 70 miles a week 8)0

most direct route for me is only 4 miles total! far too short
I do the 2 mile each way one day a week,
5.2 mile each way 2 days a week
10.65 miles in, 2 miles home one day a week
25 miles in (offroad), 2 miles home one day a week (starting this week with good weather)
If offroad ride is missed I do the 5.2 each way instead, though that wont be often over the summer
