Wearlink Problems

Changed the battery in my Polar wearlink last week and it seems to have gone mad. Either it reads crazily high and incredibly variable heart rates or it doesn't read them at all. Any ideas what would cause this?

    Might depend on how old your wearlink is - and how clean you keep it, but for me it was a build up of salt (from sweat) on the connecting pins.

    Gave it all a good scrub with a toothbrush and it has helped. I still have to make sure the parts are pushed together tightly (and sometimes it takes some wiggling to get it running) but once it starts to work it's OK until I take it off again.
