Nope. No way. Not ever. There is never a good reason to catch a stinking, smelly, germ-filled train. :P

and always with out fail end up being a headwind than a tailwind, the valley my folks live in is deep gash east to west in the ground, you'd think riding alone one side and then back the other would give you headwind and then tailwind wouldn't you.... not on your nelly.

Roughly what I was thinking! I normally deals with headwinds by repeating that to myself in my head.......all the work I do to ride well into a headwind will set me up well for riding when it's not blowy :-D

A head wind is always stronger than the associated tail wind.
You will always hit a head wind where there is no protection from the wind but be in trees on the downwind leg.

...beginning to get me down. My journey home is essentially a 7.5mile climb - add a 25mph headwind for three days straight and I start to get cranky. I think I need a hug

sorted the men from the boys last night.

I think I might qualify as a teenager in that case

I really struggled to the station last night, but I was pleased to see I was actually the quickest down the cycle / footpath. There were some people barely moving down there while I was somehow able to hold 14 ish into the 30mph headwind

Hard work, but if I had cycled all the way home into that I would've been in tears by halfway

    Caused by Brussel Sprouts......

Although, I agree with good for training....feels like 1 massive hill to get to work and another one to get home. I head NW to work and SW home - usually NW wind in the morning and SW in the eveninings or a stiff Westerley across the airfield.....Used to it now, I guess.

After the first hail storm this morning I completely forgot about the wind

The only thing I noticed today was that weird tunnel hearing I get when smashing through a headwind, pretty dangerous on busy roads.
