Tonsillitis - how long to wait before riding again

Great ride of 45+ miles of lumpy country terrain south of Asbourne last Saturday. Got home and felt fitter and healthier than I had for ages.
Suddenly 8 hours later felt crap. Tonsillitis appeared from nowhere on Sat evening.
Saw GP on Monday - been taking penicillin since. Course will end this coming Sunday.
Thing is, I feel fine again now, and am itching to get back out this weekend. Will this cause a relapse/recurrence, or is it OK to get going again? Any experiences to share?
Cheers.

I can't see that being a problem, just take it easy and drink plenty as you would anyway with a ENT issue.
I'm no medical expert but I know my own body better than anyone if YOU think really your okay who can argue.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0
