I've been buying a square taper BB, a 7-speed cassette, An Acera 48T crankset... Oh, and a set of cables, a tin of nitromors, some 2-pack clearcoat and about a thousand scotchbrite pads, all for my old bike. Soon I'm going to party like it's 1999, and when I say "party" I mean "rebuild a bike"
I've been particularily enjoying Wooly Hat Shop's Random Warehouse Picking, every single item was wrong so far
not sure how to get the images to transfer so you will have to go and have a look at these pimpy products your selves and they just dont look good eather have been out on them a couple of times now and they spin like they are on air!!!!!!!! www.readytoridecycles.co.uk/kcnc-11t-ce ... s-36-p.asp
now then, I know what you will not be doing with this lot this time.
Fair build.
Eye, its not a bad build, the forks, stem, handlebar, seatpost, chainguide are all second hand. Also i have a pair of pro2 on 823s which i got second hand that i shall use untill my i9 wheels take to come from america.
all ive bought this week is a new chain (kmc x9l-gold) and rear cassette (xt m770), neither strictly needed but does give me a perfectly servicable pair of spares for when or if i ever get the other bike built up!
Got this a couple of weeks ago, too much snow and cold weather kept it indoors until today.
A fantastic ride, no more hand and finger numbness, feels more in control than my old Univega and the suspension and brakes inspires so much confidence. I just need to get used to the the front and back brake levers being on the opposite side from my old bike.
