Whilst looking through this weeks copy of cycling weekly i came a cross the advert for zipvits offer of a selection of their new sports suplements, seeing as i've used zipvit for vitamins for around 6 or 7 years and always been impressed with the service, products and value i'd thought i'd get some samples and see what they were like, you have to pay £3.95 to cover p&p but i got mine this morning and what a selection, there is :

3 months supply of multi vitamins
3 months supply of omega 3
2 engery drink sachets,
1 recovery drink sachet
1 energy gel
1 energy bar
1 protien bar
and a drinks bottle.

I was pretty impressed and will be trying some of them out at the Burgess hill spring sportive this weekend, to get yours simply log onto www.zipvit..com/success and no i don't work for them just a very happy long term customer.

Nice one mate, the vitamins on their own are worth that much :)

    I have ordered!

I do wonder though, if I notice a difference I'm going to want to start using this stuff more often, but it comes at a huge cost.

I notive for 25 quid I can get 30 of those Energy Gel's, now on a 100mile ride how many gels should I take and how long would they last?

Also how long on average are delivery times?

    Thanks
    Will.

Count the carbs not the gel bars (its about how much of everything else you take as well). Research tends to say 60g an hour is all the body can tolerate though others work on a percentage of your body weight. Whatever method you use just test on rides and see what works and what doesn't.

Hmm, I guess I'll just see what happens then, if I receive it all.

I don't appear to have gotten an email (AOL  )

Is it essential to look at the email they send? As I wont be receiving one as AOL block from some sites.

Just had a text saying my order's been dispatched. That's a first, and a rather nice one. I want CRC and Wiggle to start texting me when stuff gets dispatched.

    Got it today.

Really well packed (by Doris!) :)

It comes with a blue ZipVit bottle instead of the Cervelo one, but they mention they will send the correct one as soon as they have stock (as they have run out). I say pretty good to send a replacement one anyway.

It comes with 1 month supply of vitamins / omega 3 plus a 2 energy drink sachets (lemon and orange), a protein drink sachet, 1 energy bar, 1 protein bar and 1 gel.

    Fantastic!!! Very pleased.

So you'll get 2 bottles and all the other stuff for your £3.99 then?.

got mine today, really impressed for the money, and the letter apologising for the missing bottle which will follow. Just have to try the gel and drink powders to see what they're like. The gels look really good value, compared to SIS.

One thing I find weird on a few of their products is they have covered up the logo on their bars that say "drug free" - Its very well done but if you look there is a little silver sticker covering the logo.. It never used to be covered!!

Well what you all think of the samples then?

The samples are great, the prices in the catalogue are expensive though I don't think I'll be ordering from them.
    Loved the energy bars!

And the fish-oil capsules give me "cat breath".

Loved the energy bars (so did the mrs), tasted great and not too rich, but not enough to buy them (I make do with Cadbury's raisin brunch bars).
As for the multivits, who knows if they're good or not, didn't feel any healthier. Not a great believer in multivits anyway, much better to have a varied and well balanced diet.

Overall I can't knock the trial offer, it does exactly what it says on the tin, I have recommended it to friends and colleagues so maybe some of them will give it a try.

  • the bars were great. Not too impressed with the drinks. Gel superb, just ordered a big pile of them.
Their vits are amazingly priced compared to the high st...
