If rain miles count as double then what do you get for gale force 10 and or blizzards?

I think they count for quadruple, especially once you account for the hill climbing involved whilst riding into said headwind and pi$$ing rain :-)

Also, I don't care for turning 26. I've shifted up an age group. MTV don't care about me any more...

MTV forgot about me quite a while ago - doesn't hurt after a while! More like what's that noise on the radiogram, can't make out the words, must be rubbish.

Oh god, I am in the 31 to 35 bit.......note to self use 21 to 25 next time to make yourself feel better.

Yeah it rather snuck up on me too. Being grouped with the 30 year olds is pretty depressing

    I'm one in three 18-20. :|

What's that quote? "Every time I see an adult on a bicycle I no longer despair for mankind", or something like that. :? Hell, whenever I see somebody in their late teens on a bicycle I no longer despair for humanity. :)

When I see an 18 year old on a bicycle I give them as wide a berth as possible :)

MTFU, try being grouped in the 40 year olds for depressing

It'll be no consolation at all, but the 30's go by in the blink of an eye. Before you know it you'll be hitting 40 and wondering what the f*$% happened to the last 10 years

I'm quite looking forward to getting older, it's a widely accepted fact that the old roadie is a dark horse :-D

Just look at the speed G66 can lay down ;-)

Still as I was saying to DDD over the weekend I take a certain pride in trying to be the fastest 26 year old on my route!

A lot of 40yr olds are going through their mid life crisis on this site. Riding bikes like they're 20yrs old...

What, just because we like to pop some wheelies every now and then. That doesn't mean we're a danger on the roads, does it? :P

P.S. I like to try and bunny hop up on the those things that carry cars to showrooms. :)

  • Talk about ageist - is there an assumption that if you are over 50:
    a) you don't commute by bike
    b) you don't cycle
    c) you're not computer-literate
    d) you're not interested in anyone else's views

There was a 50+ option but the site wouldn't let me post it.

I'm not ageist I think its incredibly that people over the age of 32 are still capable of riding bikes....
