You're a Lawyer maybe you can help.?

There is some nervousness on Jash's part about wheels (he doesn't want me using the superbly true - to within a molecule - Fulcrum Racing 7's)

There is also a debate about lycra colors Jash wants to go with the Red, white and black combo of SCR colours but those are also my colours and I established the SCR colours...

We also have to make acceptances for his entourage, chiefly the guy who provides him with an endless supply of plastic white gloves... He must only be feed yellow M&M's every 17mins...

In any case, all comers are welcome to take part in this race of the Tart vs young upstart!

While I'm at it I want a piece of Bassjunkie, Biondino, ITB, Sewinman, Lost_in_Thought and you old timer. I haven't forgot what you put me through during our ride back from the Mopeth. I want a rematch.

Oh and I'll be scalping Corriander as well for correcting my bad English.

(This does not include the Marlborough Loop I will be riding a solid 12mph no more no less... maybe 13mph).

Hmmm perhaps I can take the no.12 position behind Greg T (possibly a dangerous place to be) draft the old boy up to 10 or 11 mph and then let loose with a full on 13.5mph sprint to destroy you all!

Completely different muscles I want to work on. Our race will involve a short straight drag using the fast twich muscles I have in abundance. The Marlborough loop will be using the slow twicth muscles I haven't developed in years.

Sure, I could beat you on Sunday in a blitz of power, speed, passion and aggression but what would be the point if I use most of energy and unable to get up the 17%er or (worst case) can't finish the course.

    Lesson:

Power without control is virtually useless and therefore of no consequence. (Linsen told me so, I call her Sensei)

:-) First on the list, does that mean I have the biggest target on my back :-D

As for this talk of a steady 12mph on the ML.........

    MTFU

My 8 year old daughter could scalp you at that speed! For the love of god road bikes aren't meant to be ridden at anything less then 20mph, you might as well go and get a stupid downhill rig if your going to ride at such a glacial speed ;-)

12mph is a respectably speed. OK just for you I'll ride at 15 maybe 17mph. No more no less.

DDD watch out for the goading from no.12, 8 year old girls can be mean.

top tip if they do goad you into a sprint this weekend:-

    1) carry some drawing pins and drop them in front of your wheel when the sprint starts, you couldn't possible compete with a puncture.

Clever Pun, we're all heading to do the Marlborough loop led by ITB. PM him for the details. Would be good if you came (I could check out your Condor - though I'm leaning towards a Argon 18 Krypton with 105 or Ultegra).

@Greg66, are you sure you're still limber enough to race. I'd hate to see you end up like Ali... one bike ride too many... I don't want to be that guy that does that to you...

@Jash, I won't race you, what I'm gonna do is stick behind you and study your technique so yeah! Spin away!

@ DDD Putting the joshing aside, I am impressed with your will to race these young guns and Greg. Perhaps you will be like Ali in the rumble in the jungle where you just absorb the hits and then at the end you look them square in the eyes and say "is that all you've got?"

Truth is and I mean this in all honesty and have said this previously. I'll spin until I start bleeding from my ears but I don't expect to beat Jash. I don't think I'll beat anyone, if I make it around the Marlborough Loop I'll be surprised.

I have to say I would love to be able to come along with you folks for the same reason. You can always learn from people who are better than yourself. I can get around 80 miles of hills but can I climb? is my pedalling smooth? am I fuelling myself often enough/ too often? So many things to learn and only two months to the Fred Whitton to learn them in :?

I reckon you will all have a great time.

    Greg66 - sorry couldn't resist!

Clever Pun - train to Hungerford and cycle from there. Take some cotton wool for the nose bleed as you leave Londinium and hit the fresh air :D
