What are these like, chaps? (As our resident Castellied-up commuters/tarts, I'm assuming you've got these. <Assuming, JonGinge doesn't have them, cue the frantic scramble to buy a pair. >

I may have some of these. Will need to do a stock check ;)

I do have a number of Castelli bibs and tights, yes. For me, the Kiss pad is very comfy even for long rides. (I do also have the free bibs and the chronos, which have the AC pad, and while they are better not that much of an improvement in comfort).
Go for it. I'm a medium in Castelli. They are euro-sized ;)

Yes. The Euro-size issue. I'm an Extra-Large. I'm a large in club kit, and that's Nalini. But Castelli's sizing has just made me feel very good about myself...

    What size are you?

Around that price point, I'd recommend these or these. Limited sizes though.

Unless, of course, you're looking to go for the full head to toe single solid colour look.

I hear that's going to be MASSIVE in 09.

I'm a 32 waist and take Castelli Large!

Have the "Free" bibs longs and 2 pairs "Free" shorts (destroyed one on the Etape though, they don't like tarmac). They are unutterably fab but alas, not free.

In other news, I've finally dropped below the 12 stone mark (for the year), woohoo!

Castelli also make very fine mitts and their Rosso Corsa range is excellent.

Just checked my wiggle account. Yep, I have these in black/red. They're pretty good. IIRC I wore them on that RP ride in october...

I note Castelli now do Cervelo's* team clothing. I wish they still did Pinarello stuff, that would suit my tarty tendencies to a T.

Yeah but I don't want anything with Cervelo on it, it'll just break.

since taking up road biking as living in london not many mountains out the back gate like before...

i've never had to buy so many XXl stuff....some of the "large" shorts are any thing but, not just the waist which is fair enough as i'm about a stone somthing over, but lot of large and Xlarge shorts are too tight on one's legs, any way thats my grump for the day.

Back OT for a mo are Castelli clothes generally small, i'm usually large but judging by the size chart a large jersey is 39.5" - how can that be?

Why did you have to ask, it's not going to be a nice answer.

    If I had to guess...

Persistently ingrowing and infected toenails, leading to removal and cauterization of the nail bed?

Excuse me. I have to go and do a sick now.

But what caused the ingrowing action and infection? You can sometimes resolve the ingrowing bit by lifting the nail away from the skin with some tweezers and, if there's a pointy bit on the nail, cut it wth some scissors to round it off.

Did you drop something on it?

Yeah, see I've lost a few toenails by impact, dropping things on my foot mostly. But they've always grown back...

Hey - I'm fine. Got all my bits thanks. Not like circus attraction and amputee boy Jash over there (eeeeeeeeerrrr) wandering round with half his foot in a jar of formaldehyde.

I did lose a toenail once from running, when I switched from heel striking. Kept hitting with the toes, and pulling the skin from under the big toe nail.

And I once lost a middle finger nail by missing a nail and hitting it instead with a club hammer whilst pissed. That hurt. A lot.

Much more than the ultimate pain of banging your shin really badly. *Much* more.

Got it in one you insufferable no it all!

Original cause of damage/infection = I dropped a beer barrel on it. A proper pub beer barrel. Now that chuffing hurt.
