T-Mobile are absolutely crap. i moved to them 18 months ago (seeming good deal and handset  ), one of things I specifically asked was whether my house was in a good reception area. Got shown a very detailed map confirming that my house was in fact in a strong signal area. Utter cr*p, I have to lean out of an upstairs window just to send a text, as for calls forget it.

In my experience T-Mobile seem to have some of the worst reception in the country. my contract's due to run out soon and there's no way I'm renewing. Before I swap though I'm going to stick a couple of different pay as you go SIMS into my current phone (to rule out the handset being a problem and test local signal strength), got an Orange and Vodafone one to try, both seem better than T-Mobile, I'm sick of seeing emergency calls only on my handset.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

In terms of network coverage in riding spots i use O2 and whenever i went to Dalby i could never get a signal, my phone is getting on a bit now so that may have something to do with it though.
  • i am slightly confused why so many are particularly bothered why their phone doesn't have a signal from its home network when there out riding??

I personally like to be out of touch when i am riding nothing worse than feeling the phone vibrate or hearing it ring only to answer it and it be something as important

Lucky my riding is better than my grammar and spelling
  • I'm on orange and I seem to always have signal, even when other people on orange around me dont! I'm just awesome like that...

I was on 3 pay as you go once and yes their customer service is bad but by far the least fun I've had on the phone ever was trying to get Microsoft to let me install windows a few more times with my CD key... Trying to decypher a 30 digit code over a bad phone line spoken by some india fellow who wasn't speaking actual english is difficult.
