At one point I had 2 in the bedroom and one beside the front door, but during the winter the cross bike has studded tyres that really smell, so it has to live in the apartment block's communal loft space now. One bike is now permanently in my mother's garage in the UK so I have something to use when I'm over there. So, currently, it's just the summer bike on the trainer in the livingroom.
  • 3 in my garage (although the folder sometimes resides in the cupboard in the hall)

(Gav, dear Gav - you lead me to believe you were some City high-flyer and yet there you are - leasehold??? Or renting? .........in EALING? Tsk, I am so disappointed - perhaps it's time to drop the pretentious " 'lo " in your posts) :)

OMG - FatBoyBilly owns a bicycle! How comes you've never posted anything about cycling on here? :?

Oh, and I'm Commonhold - the normal status of a flat owner in London. And probably the one that holds the most disadvantages.

I'm married. No bike of mine has ever even had a glimpse of the "living room".
Pretty much nothing of mine sees any part of "our" living quarters. The basement
is the only place such things are allowed.

  • one in the dining room (although it's open plan with the living room), and one in the cellar.
riding on my bicycle, i saw a motorcrash…

Why would I keep them in the living room when I have a perfectly good spare bedroom for them? 2 road bikes in there and the other 4 1/2 bikes in the shed.

Used to have my two regular rides in the dining room, but they got moved to the cellar to join my other two when we had people over one weekend and my wife insisted on a 'tidy up'
    Two more in the conservatory.

A quick tour of the house shows:

Cross bike and single speed MTB in the hall. Both have been used today and are 'drying out'.

3 road bikes, 3 more MTBs and a track bike in the 'bike room', along with another couple of wheelsets, tools, cycling clothes, spares, etc.

Two frames and another couple of wheelsets in a store room upstairs.

And just the one bike in the living room, whch is currently serving a different purpose...

  • Have my single-speed On-One commuter / hack, my racing bike and my cross-country bike, all living in my bedroom (I live on an Army camp, its the only secure space I have 8) )

And loving the baby-toy hanger :lol::lol:

You do realise your kid is gonna want (ABSOLUTELY have to have) tons of bike gear you know...

I have 2 bikes living in my bedroom, I don't have a living room, I use the kitchen to clean them and maintain them, cant store them in there, someone would sabotage them. I cant help but notice my bedroom always smells funny with my bike and all the bits of tools and stuff in there though :?
