I reckon it was drunk frat boys having a "steal the ugliest bike" competition. But they couldn't get into the Columbia truck so opted for the Astana bikes.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

Amazing. You seem to hate(or is it a really bad case of envy - I think envy) anything even
remotely "Lance". You must be quite a piece of work.

Dennis - you seem to be able to draw all sorts of conclusions from the most inane comments. You must be "quite a piece of work" too?0

thing is, what can one do with the TT bike..cycling weekly classifieds with a respray?0

Dennis, do you actually have something to contribute? I notice you're not outraged at my dissing of Columbia bikes too - You know they're also American, don't you?
Perhaps you need to lighten up a bit.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
What are the odds on this being a(nother)publicity stunt by Armstrong's PR team? I'd have a fiver on that.
I wonder if Paul Kimmage has been arrested yet? He must be the prime suspect?0 -

You're absolutely right. I am "quite a piece of work". But I think that anyone who has read
iainf72 very much would agree with me. The mere mention of "Lance" sets him in action.
Obviously, obsession and envy rules there. I doubt very much of this "Lance" stuff is actually about drug's. That's just the convenient and easy thing. All this goes much deeper
than simply drugs for most of these "haters".

Not sure why I would care about Columbia.
As for "lighten up", I think not.

most likely stolen to order for an unscrupulous businessman
chancers wouldn't bother unless they are going to split them and flog the bits on ebay and dispose the obvious bits like the frame

You may have hit on something there. It was noted that Liquigas were all riding their roadies, yesterday!
......probably saw that Columbia had done just that with last year's Giants.dennisn wrote:iainf72 wrote:I reckon it was drunk frat boys having a "steal the ugliest bike" competition. But they couldn't get into the Columbia truck so opted for the Astana bikes.

Dennis, you are so blinkered by your obssession with Lance, that you missed Iain's point completely. It was a dig as Columbia.

how will the design be disguised? Must be nerve racking...someone will be doing faster 10s or TTs in the states this year0

I must read Iain differently, as he seems to be asking some valid questions of Mr Armstrong's much vaunted 'transparency', like when was he actually going to agree a testing regime with Don Catlin? Or what happened to the start fee from the TDU? Of course that makes us 'haters', a simple tag to dismiss the arguments of those you don't agree with.0 -
Barloworld's bikes got ripped off a few weeks ago, the whole team had to stop training.
Obviously, Astana needs some U-lock company sponsorship.0 -

You guys just don't get it. It's not about "Lance" or whomever. it's about a bunch of guys on a forum who can't handle the fact that someone could have a level of sucess at a sport that they themselves will never attain. It's called envy. Any chance they get they try
to hammer home the point that so and so is better than them only because he uses
illegal or devious means that, of course, they would never consider. Any chance they have they will pounce on this person to berate him, tell you how they know all about him,
tell you what a jerk he is, and read into his quotes just about whatever they see fit.
ENVY??? I'd put money on it.

Perhaps someone nicked it thinking they can catch LA out by having it swabbed down CSI style to find traces of whatever in the epithelial s & other body fluids which will be on the frame/bars/seat
Not saying its true just adding to the conspiracy theory list0 -

Do you do irony Dennis? Isn't it ironic you seem to be able to pass judgement on people based on what they type in a forum?
I think it's about time you got over yourself. It's a public debate. Some people like and support Lance and can engage in intelligent debate.
And FFS, this was nothing to do with Lance. I said Columbia have the ugliest bikes followed by Astana. That's just my opinion.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

Hmmmm, isn't it ironic that you seem to be able to pass judgement on people based on what is typed in newspapers, magazines, and forums. So, we are actually two peas in a pod. How's that for ironic. Sorry about your luck, but I believe you have just put yourself
and me in the same light. And it's not a good light.

I have no problem gathering information from a wide variety of sources and then forming an opinion. Heck, I even posed Lance some questions via Procycling magazine (under my own name and all, so I'm not so anonymous coward)
Can you explain how in Dennis land you form an opinion? Or do you just not have opinions? What do you think of Obama? Nothing I would assume as you've never met the man? Do you have an opinion on the global economic meltdown?
The only time you post in Race is about Lance. For my faults, and I have many, I post about many other things too.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Indeed, Iain.
Mass envy? No, I'd say more like a case of a individual's borderline paranoia.
A few light-hearted comments at the expense of an inanimate object, seen as
the beration of one man. What else can it be?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Bloody hell dennis ! Even when it isnt a lance bashing thread you manage to turn it into one !
Anyway - back to the thread - reckon they will get them back - way too hot to handle !
I notice that cav isnt riding his scott lo pro - he seems to be on his giant still ?0 -
right, i'm off down brick lane tomorrow - gonna get me one of those new fangled lo-pro time trial bikes, it;s bound to be down there, Lance.....although they've probably put a fixed wheel on it to make it more 'trendy' and get themselves a few more quid.
Iain - keep up the good work0 -

Borderline paranoia? I'll buy that. Why not? But what's it called when this "hate group"
gets together and slams another human being, on a daily basis, and then gets all upset if
anyone(like myself) decides to say "gee, I think you go too far"? Could that be borderline......, no, no, couldn't be? You're the pure ones out to set the record straight
about Pro Cycling. Right? You have all been involved in Pro Cycling for years. As racers, officals, mechanics, team members, doctors, etc., etc. You have all lived it and are here
to give us the real scoop.

Dennis - time for the medication !
Nobody was slagging Lance off (unusual I know) on this thread.0 -
my guess is the guys who broke in didn't know it was LanceA's, with it being dark...just grabbed what they could...then realise its not an off the peg Halfords bike they have some hours later.0
